One of our older Members has reported that he narrowly avoided being scammed.

He was persuaded by a courteous young man on the telephone that he should transfer money our of his account to protect it from theft. He went a long way into the process before our warnings began to ring a bell and he stopped.

He has asked us to keep repeating the warnings to protect others.

If you have elderly or vulnerable family members, friends or neighbours, please warn them to be careful of scammers. Many people are forgetful, so it is often necessary to repeat the warnings on a regular basis.
