Thefts from vehicles

October 5, 2017

There have been a number of vehicles broken into in the last couple of days.  At present at least 7 are known and there may well be others yet to be reported.  No witnesses or CCTV images have yet been identified.

Two of the vehicles have had locks forced and/or windows broken, but in the majority of incidents there is no sign of forced entry suggesting that the vehicles may have been left unlocked.  Not a great deal appears to have been stolen in these incidents.

Please check (and recheck) that vehicles are securely locked at night and that everything of value is removed.

If you see or hear anything suspicious around vehicles, please phone the police immediately.  If you have any information or know of any CCTV images, please report it by dialling 101 the police non-emergency number.
